This was our third lodge/camp and the only one where we stayed for two nights. It is literally the center of Serengeti. We came here to see animals, and good lord were we not disappointed.
One morning a giraffe walked through the camp, and a troop of elephants ate right across the river. There was the aforementioned killed water buck. As you can see there were several huge, old acacia trees, and it is right on a river. It was fantastic.
I’d definitely describe this as glamping. It was similar to Burunge but more remote and obviously basic. Clearly no WiFi, and yes, I did ask. Wonderful bonfires both nights. The camp crew was AWESOME. They took great care of us, especially on the first night when we had the entire camp all to ourselves. On the second night they made a second bonfire just for Alex’s midnight birthday countdown.
Food was excellent. The dinners and breakfast were way fancier than we expected, because this was a sort of low-mid budget place, and after all it is a remote camp. Sure, the bathroom was a little weird, but there were so many nice touches like coffee delivered to your tent in the morning, omelets to order, and a tent “lounge” just for hanging. I would absolutely stay here again.

I can only imagine falling asleep and waking up in your screened tent.
