Really no way around it…Phang Nga is an equatorial paradise. This is a selection of photos from about 1,700 others.

This is an upside-down palm tree.
Eagle Island
OK so it’s not really called “Eagle Island,” but at this point we had seen 107,000 islands. This one had sea eagles that flew around the cliffs and dove into the water for fish. Hence, Eagle Island. It’s full of caves, and upside-down palm trees, and…eagles. The national park office for Phang Nga Bay is on this island. It’s that tiny hut on the small beach with the dog. I’m pretty sure the Jurassic Park theme song is playing like nonstop on their radio. Someone call Sam Neill!
James Bond Island
James Bond Island gets its own post because, just look at. Seems like we had literally only one pose in our arsenal. But it’s a good one. I kept trying to get people on the speedboat to join Alex, Layla, and me in singing the theme song…to no avail. Our tour guide was game, though.
Panyee Muslim Fishing Village
I almost bought a T-shirt because the name sounds like Pawnee. This monkey was being carried by a ladyboy who was none too happy I took a picture [for free]. Cats EVERYWHERE. Several eagles. You know, normal fishing things.
